Cultural care

Grows well in most soil types which are moist but well draining. No pruning is generally required although removing spent flower stems will encourage further flushes and help maintain a neat habit.  Apply a slow release fertiliser during early spring. In very cold regions may become herbaceous with new, fresh foliage re-appearing in spring.
