Nuts have a good sweet flavour and are relatively versatile with their uses. A low maintenance, open canopy tree, with large, white/pink flowers in the Spring, ideal for confined spaces because of its dwarfing tree size. Grows to a height of 2 metres and a width of 2 metres.

MATURITY:

Early March (Mid Season)

SUGGESTED POLLINATORS :

Self pollinating

COMMENTS:

A reliable cropping tree with an upright growth habit. Almonds are high in fibre and nutrients, cholesterol free and contain vitamin E. Can be eaten fresh or roasted. Harvest nuts just as the shell starts to split open. This variety can be stored in the shell for months. Once almonds are shelled store them in an air tight container.

TREE CARE :

Plant tree in a warm protected area with well drained and well worked soil. Take care to plant the bud union above the soil level. Water in well and keep soil moist until tree is established. Fertilise when planting and again after new growth appears. Prune tree when planting to encourage new growth.
