DESCRIPTION:

 This is a popular weeping form of the silver birch. The small bright green leaves, and contrasting white bark on trunk, make a splendid display. Leaves turn golden in autumn. A suitable tree for all gardens.

 Attention to pruning may be required depending on the ultimate shape desired. To obtain the “umbrella” look, any upright branching should be pruned. To avoid any sap loss pruning should be done in late Autumn or early Winter. Plant in a sunny position.

 TREE CARE:

 Plant in a well drained and well worked soil. Take care to plant the bud union above the soil level. Water in well and keep soil moist until tree is established. Fertilize when planting and again after new growth appears. Prune tree when planting to encourage new growth.
