Ideal as a ‘betweener’ in a mixed garden display where it will not only mask the absence of herbaceous perennials or bulbs during winter but also offers a sparkling display of flowers during this dull time of year.
Will grow in low light areas but may need more trimming to maintain a bushier form.
Ideal in rockeries or for retaining walls and embankments where it will trail over edges if allowed.
Can be grown well in containers or smaller spaces also.
Choose a sunny location in any well drained, light soil. Prune by half after flowering to encourage new shoots and a fresh crop of flowers.
Feed with a slow release fertiliser in early spring.
