MAGNOLIA ‘Star Wars’

FEATURES:

 A strong vigorous upright growing tree to a height of 5 metres. Large flowers of a dark purple-pink opening to pink and fading at the tips, appear late Winter/early Spring, borne before the plant comes into leaf. Large leaves in Spring are a shiny dark green.

 Open upright.

 Large leaves in Spring are a shiny dark green.

 FLOWERS:

 Large flowers of a dark purple-pink opening to pink and fading at the tips, (white on the inside) appear late Winter/early Spring.

 COMMENTS:

 Blooms at an early age. Plant in a sunny position with good drainage and shelter from wind, so that the flowers are not damaged. Frost tolerant.

 TREE CARE:

 Plant in a well drained and well worked soil. Take care to plant the bud union above the soil level. Water in well and keep soil moist until tree is established. Fertilize when planting and again after new growth appears. Prune tree when planting to encourage new growth.
