FEATURES:

This attractive tree with erect branching grows to a height of 8 metres. Distinct grey leaves, appearing white and “woolly”, maturing to silvery green. Clusters of pretty single white flowers are borne in Spring giving a spectacular display followed by small round greenish yellow fruit which is edible and often used for cider making. Fruit can be tart until fully ripe. Yellow Autumn foliage.

 SHAPE:

 Upright erect branches, with rounded canopy

 FOLIAGE:

 Grey leaves appearing white and “woolly”, maturing to silvery green. Yellow Autumn foliage.

 FLOWERS:

 Clusters of pretty single white flowers are borne in Spring, followed by small round greenish yellow fruit.

 COMMENTS:

 Excellent contrasting foliage. Ideal for medium gardens, avenue planting and street trees. Adaptable to most soil types. Tolerant of drought, pollution, frost and water logged conditions.

 TREE CARE:

 Plant in a well drained and well worked soil. Take care to plant the bud union above the soil level. Water in well and keep soil moist until tree is established. Fertilize when planting and again after new growth appears. Prune tree when planting to encourage new growth.
